I’m currently staying at this hotel and I had mistakenly made an extra booking for the same night in addition to my original reservation. The lady at the reception kindly called me to inform me that there were two bookings under my name. She helped me contact Hotels.com to cancel the extra one. Even though the Hotels.com agent on the phone was a bit rude to her because she was busy assisting other guests and couldn’t respond right away, she was still extremely cooperative and professional. Thanks to her support, I received a full refund even though the booking was technically non-refundable. I truly appreciate her help and professionalism. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone — great service and very respectful staff!
Stayed at the Humphry Inn & Suites in Winnipeg while we were in town for Boxing Nationals (it was the selected team hotel) and overall it was a really solid experience. Check-in and staff interactions were friendly throughout the stay. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and it felt like a good place to recover after long days at the tournament. A nice bonus was the Roku streaming TV in the room—super convenient for unwinding at night. Breakfast was decent and pretty much what you’d expect from a hotel breakfast, and the location was handy with a few restaurants within walking distance, including The Keg and Earl’s. I did notice some other reviews mentioned bugs, but that wasn’t our experience at all. I did a thorough check when we arrived and didn’t find any, and with 100+ athletes staying here for the event, I didn’t hear of anyone else reporting issues either. Would stay here again—clean, comfortable, friendly service, and a great setup for a busy tournament week.
I had an issue with my booking due to a problem on the online website, but Jyoti at the front desk and her coworker were absolutely amazing! They were patient, friendly, and went out of their way to help me sort everything out quickly. Excellent customer service and a really positive experience — thank you both for making a stressful situation so easy to handle! Highly recommend the staff at Humphry Inn.
The hotel was super clean and felt really safe with 24 hour staff. Everything was easy and comfortable during our stay. Plus, parking was only $12, which is way cheaper than any of the downtown hotels—that’s actually why we picked this place.
During my stay, I witnessed Pauline go above and beyond to help a guest who had lost his phone. She was incredibly patient, even using her own phone to assist, and made sure he got it back. The man was stressed at first but left very happy thanks to her. That’s true customer service — Pauline is the reason I’d recommend this hotel. She’s the best!
I stayed in Humphry Inn & Suites in May 2025. This family-run hotel is not fancy, but it’s functional, central, and reliable — especially for rail travellers. The dated decor and average breakfast are balanced by good service, convenience, and practical amenities. Perfectly ok for a short stay in downtown Winnipeg. I am surprised how some reviewed this hotel. The hotel itself is fine, it's reasonably well maintained in the city of Winnipeg. The location is perfect, it's a fine balance between access to downtown (or whatever remaining of what you call a downtown), Union Station, The Forks, and surrounding area. It comes with free and basic breakfast, but that's already more than what you would need in a hotel stay. There is plenty of parking space at the back, and the rooms are clean, comfortable, with very strong AC (particularly required for Winnipeg's hot summer days.) It's a great hotel for the price you pay, and the staff members are eager to help. Comes with free Wi-Fi as well.
RYAN! and crew were simply amazing. Smiles from one end of the cheek to the other. Also very, very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas. Highly suggest this hotel if you are travelling & staying in Winnipeg. Only thing would say is : Ryan and team -- please .. please .. PLEASE re-open the pool. It is so hot in Canada during the summers & a pool is key. Otherwise, everything else was 10/10. Until next time!
